Overview

Smart Clips automatically packages the most important moments from every analyzed call into short, shareable highlights. The feature is available to every workspace that has Call Intelligence and can be configured by admins to deliver those clips directly into the right Slack destinations. Smart Clips are designed to help revenue teams:
  • Capture consistent feedback themes (wins, risks, objections, pain points) without manual clipping.
  • Share the decisive moments from calls with managers, enablement, and executives in real time.
  • Keep stakeholders aligned by routing highlights to the Slack channels or individuals that need them most.

Prerequisites

  • Call Intelligence is enabled and actively analyzing calls.
  • Your workspace Slack app is connected in Admin > Integrations.

Create a Smart Clip Workflow

  1. Go to Admin > Smart Clips and select Create Smart Clip.
  2. Choose the prompt that tells Momentum what to capture. Prompts can target themes such as:
    • Positive feedback or customer praise.
    • Negative feedback, objections, or escalations.
    • Pain points or deal blockers you want the team to track.
  3. Pick the delivery cadence. You can fire Smart Clips after every qualifying call or only when the prompt finds matching content.
  4. Select the Slack destination:
    • Slack Channel to notify a broader audience (for example, #wins, #cs-escalations, or #product-feedback).
    • Slack User for direct alerts to an individual manager, rep, or executive.
  5. Save the workflow. The next time a call matches the prompt, Momentum generates the clip and posts a playable video card into Slack with context and a link back to the Call Library.

Managing Smart Clips

  • Edit or pause a workflow from the Smart Clips list if priorities change.
  • Duplicate a workflow to experiment with different prompts or destinations without starting over.
  • Trace delivery by following the Slack link back into the Call Library, where you can download or add the clip to playlists if you want to reuse it elsewhere.

Prompt Best Practices

  • Include the outcome you want, such as “Capture a 60-second clip where the customer describes their biggest pain point.”
  • Reference speaker roles to focus on customer statements (e.g., “Highlight when the prospect shares negative feedback about the onboarding experience.”).
  • Avoid stacking too many requirements; create separate workflows for different use cases (wins vs. risks) so stakeholders only receive the clips that matter to them.

FAQs

Do we need to enable Smart Clips?
No additional toggle is required. Once you create a workflow, Smart Clips start generating for newly analyzed calls that match your prompt.
Do Smart Clips still show up in the Call Library?
Yes. Every Smart Clip is stored alongside the full recording in the Call Library so you can review, download, or add it to playlists.
Can we still create clips manually?
Yes. Manual clipping continues to work exactly the same way. Smart Clips simply adds AI-generated highlights alongside the clips your team creates.
What if a clip misses the context we need?
Open the full call recording to expand the range around the Smart Clip, or adjust the prompt to request more or less context.
